How a session unfolds
1. Find your directionSmell twelve scent families without knowing what they are. Your first instincts show you where to begin.
2. Smell and shortlistWork through the scent library and note only the ingredients you like.
3. Compare your trialsBlend two small samples, test them side by side, and refine what works.
4. Weigh your formulaMeasure each note on a precision scale. Close is good enough.
5. Bottle and name itSeal your perfume, give it a name, and take it home.

I started Sok Studios so anyone could find their own scent, without being told what suits them. Sok (속) means "inside" in Korean. The studio sits among the trees in Titirangi, so it's quiet and a little tucked away. Most guests arrive unsure of what they like. By the end, they usually know.
Please skip perfume or strongly scented products on the day, so your nose stays fresh. Arrive a few minutes early to settle in.

Ages
Guests under 14 are welcome with a parent or guardian, who books alongside them. Our perfumes are alcohol based, so we ask for an adult to help during testing.
Rescheduling and refunds
Let us know at least 48 hours before your session and we'll move you to another date. If a public session doesn't go ahead, we'll offer a new date or a full refund.
Reordering your perfume
Your formula is saved for 12 months. Send us your perfume's name and the date you came in, and we'll make it again.
Gift cards
Digital gift cards are sent by email, valid for three years, and can be used for workshops or products.
This perfume workshop was such a unique and special experience. With only two of us in the session, it felt incredibly personal and intimate - a perfect way to spend quality time and learn something new together. We had so much fun exploring different scents and understanding the art of perfume-making, and we ended up learning a lot about each other in the process too. Sojenn was absolutely lovely! Warm, knowledgeable, and gently guided us every step of the way without ever making it feel rushed or overly structured. Highly recommend this for couples, close friends, or anyone looking for a meaningful and memorable experience.

I have a very good time doing this workshop! The pace is very good and well managed, Seojun was very personal and insightful, she gave a good direction for us to create a beautiful scent. One of the highlights was actually when we smell the different category and notes; I learnt so much from it. I highly recommend this workshop, it located in a private and cosy studio and at the end of the workshop I felt so relaxed.
